2024年8月28日下午，北京大学国际法学院访问教授、北京仲裁委员会/北京国际仲裁中心（以下称“北仲”）仲裁员陈帼钊（Mylene Chan）向北仲捐赠了The Mediation Process (作者：Christopher Moore)等英文原版珍藏学术著作共123本。北仲委员兼秘书长姜丽丽代表北仲接受了赠书，向陈帼钊颁发了捐赠证书并致以衷心的感谢。
姜丽丽表示，北仲致力于建设学习型组织，广泛引进世界各国关于仲裁与调解的专业书籍，是加强争议解决研究、提升仲裁员和机构专业能力的重要途径。此次陈帼钊女士发挥自己在调解领域的专长，义务联系咨询业界精英前辈，精心选取购买国际调解领域著名专家的代表性著作，并慷慨捐赠给北仲图书馆的义行让人感佩！北仲将进一步完善图书管理规范，争取让更多人有机会分享这些宝贵资料，让捐赠图书充分发挥价值！
本次赠书充实了北仲图书馆馆藏，为北仲提升国际商事调解研究水平、吸收国际先进调解经验增强了知识储备。北仲将持续开展各类学术交流，欢迎各界人士到访北仲参观交流，共同促进多元争议解决事业的发展。
捐赠仪式后，陈帼钊分享了向北仲捐赠调解专业书籍的心路历程，全文如下：
Mylene Chan：A Mediation Library Finds Its Home at BAC/BIAC
During my first meeting with Secretary General Jiang Li Li, she mentioned BIAC's renowned library, home to the largest collection of English-language arbitration books. This sparked a memory and an opportunity to fulfill an unfinished mission.
Two years ago, CEDR's Danny McFadden offered to donate his valuable collection of mediation books. Proper recipient was unable to locate, the books found a temporary home in my Hong Kong apartment, awaiting their destined location.
Ms. Jiang Li Li's mention of BIAC's library presented the perfect solution for Danny's collection. Inspired to create a comprehensive mediation resource, I reached out to my mentors in the US – pioneers who have shaped the field since the 1980s.
Bruce Edwards (JAMS Founder), Ken Cloke (author of "Mediating Dangerously"), Peter Robinson (Former Dean of Pepperdine University), and Lela Love (Founder of the first US mediation clinic) all contributed their expertise. Their input expanded the collection to 123 books, covering topics from basic mediation techniques to dispute prevention and mediation advocacy.
The challenge now lies in transporting these valuable resources from Hong Kong to Beijing. I've been making weekend trips to Shenzhen, shipping about 20 books at a time, with the goal of completing the transfer by the end of October.
I'm grateful to BIAC and Ms. Jiang Li Li for this opportunity to contribute to the field of mediation. As I prepare the books for shipment, I find myself eagerly exploring their contents, adding to my own reading list in the process.
This project not only honors the legacy of mediation pioneers but also ensures that their collective wisdom will be accessible to future generations of practitioners at BIAC.
陈帼钊：调解类专业藏书在北仲“安家”
两年前，英国有效争议解决中心(Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution,CEDR)的Danny McFadden曾向我提议选择合适的仲裁机构捐赠他收藏的珍贵的调解类书籍。怀抱着建立一个全面的调解资源库的想法，我联系了我在美国的导师们——他们是自20世纪80年代以来商事调解学术领域的奠基人：Bruce Edwards（美国最大司法仲裁调解服务机构JAMS创始人）、Ken Cloke（《危机调解》一书的作者）、Peter Robinson（美国Pepperdine University的前法学院院长）和Lela Love（美国第一个调解机构的创始人）。
他们就我本次向北仲捐书的决定表现出很大的热忱，并贡献了专业知识。有了他们的参与，我本次的捐书清单扩充至123本，内容涵盖了基础调解技巧、争议预防、调解代理等多个主题。
非常感谢北仲给我这个机会，可以为调解领域做出贡献。这一项目不仅是对调解领域奠基者成果的致敬，同时也确保了他们的集体智慧能在将来为北仲的调解从业者所用。
